Vision Statement
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Atmiya Institute of Technology & Science will help students to acquire technical competence to meet the challenges of the rapidly evolving field of engineering and to contribute to the scientific, economic and social development of society as a whole. The department will strive to create an intellectual environment that will be encouraging and nurturing for all members of the department.
Mission statement
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering supports the mission of the Institute through all its practices and conduct. The Department will

- provide conducive academic ambience that would facilitate prolific interaction between students, faculty, staff, industry and community
- provide state-of-the-art facilities thereby creating opportunities to learn, contribute and advance

Understanding that quality improvement is a continuous process, the Department will strive to achieve a reputation of standard at regional, national and international levels.
The Bachelor program in Electronics & Communication Engineering has been started in this institute in the year 2000 with an intake of 60 studetns. Presently the program has an intake of 120. We have always maintained a policy of providing students with state of the art facilities. The department is very keenly preparing its batches for the vast field of opportunities through meticulous study of curriculum and other value addition courses.

Since last two years projects of the students from the department are selected by Kishore Vaignany Protshahan Yojana (KVPY), Banglore for scholarship.
Students of the department won National Award for best B.E./B.Tech project in Electronics and Communication Engg. from ISTE, in year 2007.
Large number of students participate in National level paper & project competitions.
Large number of students crack various entrance exams like GATE, GMAT, CAT, GRE, IETLS and pursue their further studies.
The department has very good track record in campus placements.
Alumini of the department are with esteemed companies like TCS, Infosys, Idea cellular, Wipro, ISRO, etc.
