Circulation Rules
Library Membership and Loan Period
All students, faculty members and employees of the institute are entitled for the membership of the Library. Their entitlements, in terms of number of books (from general collections) that they can borrow and its loan period for different categories of members are given below. For further details, please contact, Head of the Circulation Section.

* They will be issued book via Departmental Library.
- The borrowing facility can be withdrawn or restricted in case of misbehavior or misuse of the library.
- While issuing books readers has to show his/her I-Card & put his/her signature as shown in his/her library tickets.
- The reader should check the book thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, pictures etc., while borrowing the book.
- No book in damaged condition will be accepted from the reader.
- Mutilated or spoiled books will have to be replaced by the Borrower.
- Loss of book must be reported immediately. Late fees, if any, will be charged till the loss of book is reported. If the original library book is returned after reporting it lost, the fine will be calculated till the date of its return.
- If the issued book is lost by reader then he/she has to report library before date of return and has to replace the book with latest edition or pay the charge of book within a week time. Otherwise late return fine will be charged will the date of replacement of the book. The book as well as the fine should be deposited together.
- Over due charges is Rs. 2 per day on Book.Overdue charges are Rs. 5 per day on book during reading period.
- Reissue - Books are reissued only if there are no claims.
General Rules
- Entry to the library is restricted to the bonafide members on production of valid Identity Card at the check point.
- The staff member at the checkpoint, may refuse entry to those who do not produce a valid identity card.
- Please maintain silence in the Library.
- The users are not allowed to bring the books issued to them inside the library unless they want to return them.
- The library material, including books and equipment, should be handled with utmost care. Mutilation, writing on books, cutting pages will be severely dealt with.
- During teaching hours, students will not be allowed in library except during recess and free slot.
- Student should not enter in the library with the bag etc.
- When library is closed during holidays, if the date of return is during that periods then users has to return immediately after the holidays otherwise fine will be charged for the holidays also.
- After completion of final year students have submitted there library tickets back before receiving there mark sheet.
Periodicals and Non Book materials Rules

Periodicals:-
- Current periodicals will not be issue to any staff & students.
- Periodical will be issue on Library card only to all users.
- Only for staff members 2 periodicals on one library ticket will be issue.
- Over due charges is Rs. 2 per day to all users (Staff & Students)
Non Book materials
- CD/DVD/Floppy will be issue on Library card only to all users.
- Only for staff members 2 CD/DVD/Floppy on one library ticket will be issue.
- Penalty of Rs. 200/-will be charged if DVD is lost or damaged.
- Penalty of Rs.100/- will be charged if CD is lost or damaged.
- Overdue charges is Rs.5/- per day to all users (Staff & students).
